ES345 Monarch is a specialised Enforcer operative

Biography

Admittance to ESOC, the special operations branch of the Enforcer Corps, is strictly by invitation only. All Enforcers have already proven their abilities in combat and willingness to prosecute the will of the Council of Seven. ESOC operators must able to go even further. Monarch’s record is exemplary in this regard, having successfully completed numerous stealth reconnaissance missions as both a Pathfinder and sniper. Her excellence has been rewarded with promotion to the special ops branch of the Enforcers. Since being recruited into ESOC, Monarch has carried out several undercover missions including eight confirmed targeted executions, none of which were ever traced back to the Council of Seven.

Afterwards she was taking part in the acquisition attempt to gain the Vector-P sample from the Mazon Labs facility on Eiras and supposedly KIA. She was there personally to see the lead scientist Koyner dead. Before slipping into an artificial coma she made sure that her "killers" would be well known by uploading video files about their actions in the Mazon Labs facility, which earned them the name of the Eiras Contract Mercenaries and a hefty price on their heads.

Following her presumed death by the hand of the now most famous mercenaries led by Erika Dulinsky, she is now the leader of the ESOC Strike Team Hand of the Seven, carrying out the will of the Seven, be it long range assassinations, close quarter operations or retrieve missions.

Operation Monarch

Before assuming the alias 'Emilia Becht' and luring the mercenary team to Eiras, Monarch had to access the facility and confirm the received intel first hand.

Infiltration

Enforcer ES435, Codename ‘Monarch’, has been sent by the ETCU to investigate the operations of the Mazon Labs black site on Eiras. Garbled messages and snippets of code have suggested that all may not be as it seems in this site. Furthermore, the recorded deployment of a company of Urbana Black Wing Marines to the complex seemed excessive for such a backwater laboratory.

Monarch has been tasked to infiltrate the complex and find out what she can about the experiments going on there. This would be much easier with access to the local codes; the sooner she could find a local Facility Robot to reprogram, the better.

The personnel was completely unaware of her presence. However, the more time Monarch spent searching for the Facility Robot, the more chance there was of guards turning up and catching her. She needed to hack into various terminals to gain the information she needed to assist in her infiltration. After successfully accessing the first local system, she gained access to the local environment setting for the level. After taking out patrols and moving unseen, Monarch circumvented the firewall on yet another terminal and found what she was looking for in a local Facility Robot "G7-RK5". She just needed to get to it now.

After reaching Facility Robot G7-RK5, she entered her override codes and watched as the machine in front of her whirred into life. A couple of minutes reprogramming it, and it was now more sentient than it’s ever been and a much more useful companion on her mission. With this Facility Robot to guide her through the complex, she was be able to achieve her objective in no time.

Data Scan

With the aid of Facility Robot G7-RK5, Monarch was able to progress through the initial levels of the complex with ease. Soon, however, she found that the security level required to access even relatively mundane parts of the complex increased, and she realized she needed to gain access to a greater range of security access. Stealth not an option anymore, she could leave no traces or witnesses.

Facility Robot G7-RK5 showed her the main data processing floor on the schematics, and she headed there to see what she could find. Moments later the firewall fell, but she instantly realized that this terminal didn’t have access to the files she needed, and even her Council-approved override codes did not grant her access. She would need to find another terminal. Making her way through the facility, Monarch's codes had allowed deeper access into the network on this terminal, but she was still unable to find the data maps for the sub-levels. She had to keep looking. Fighting off surprised Lab Technicians and Security Guards, Monarch finally found a terminal with enough access privileges to allow her codes to access the data maps for the complex. She immediately realized that the degree of security and complexity of the site meant something big was going on there.

She was also able to access the heat prints of all the people in the complex. In the lower levels, contained within a few enclosed spaces, there appeared to be some staff who exhibited extraordinarily large heat signatures, as if they were on fire from within. In the deepest levels, there was also a much larger signature, almost like a beast—but what exactly was it?

Time to go undercover...

Monarchs Undercover Alias 'Emilia Becht'

Short bio from the official Mazon Labs website: A celebrated Mazon biochemist, Emilia Becht specialised in enzyme modification and poly-amino synthesis before taking a well-deserved retirement.

Emilia Bechts personnel record sent to the Eiras Contract Mercenaries prior to their mission:

Becht’s record of employment in corporate bio-research units is long and extensive. An expert in enzyme modification and poly-amino synthesis, Becht is believed to have joined the program on Eiras less than two G-standard years ago. Her reasons for being willing to betray her employers so soon after joining them are unknown, but this would not be the first time a loyal worker was tempted away with offers of a better salary and benefits at a rival corporation. Just like the theft of the vaccine data, this kind of corporate espionage is just another part of normal business practices in the GCPS. In any case, Becht’s motives are not important. Her extraction is part of the contract and that should be all that matters to the team sent to do the job.
