Eddak P’Mera is an Yndij who is part of the Rebs faction and a much respected and senior huntsman from Azure IX
Biography
Since the GCPS 'overran' their home planet of Azure IX, many of the Yndij people have thrown in their lot with the Rebellion, fighting to ensure that other races do not suffer the same fate that theirs did. Most are simple scouts, their natural talents at hunting combined with their preference for operating alone making them ideal in the role. A very few ascend to the rank of Sergeant, directly supervising other members of their team and using their talents and skills to direct the flow of battle.
Eddak occupies a spot somewhere between these two paths, yet ascended far over both. All Yndij are naturally gifted hunters and trackers, but amongst his people, Eddak was a much respected and senior huntsman. His reputation amongst his own tribe was that of a legend and even other tribes of that primitive culture had heard of ‘He who stalks even the ghosts’.
Since joining the Rebellion, Eddak has used his skills to become just as much of a legend amongst his new comrades, and unlike other Yndij, he has refused to attach himself to any one group or team. He travels throughout the galaxy, seeming to have an uncanny knack for turning up exactly when and where the Rebellion have most need of his particular skills. He answers to no commander, and often the first a Reb force will know of his presence in the area is seeing the results of his work.
Such is the natural air of authority and fierce charisma radiated by Eddak, he will often take command decisions in the field, recognised and followed by even senior commanders. Of course, it also helps that immediately the order is given, he will simply vanish again, making it extraordinarily difficult to argue with him. In battle, he wields a crossbow with lethal efficiency, his stealth skills meaning that he is able to get as close as necessary to enemy forces without being spotted, delivering the kill shot before fading away once more. Even advanced scanners and tracking devices cannot spot him, and the more superstitious amongst Corporate armed forces are convinced that he is in actual fact a vengeful ghost, sent by the spirits of Azure IX to seek bloody revenge on behalf of his people.
The Rebs will take any advantage they can get, and have been known to actively encourage these stories to weaken the morale of their foes. For his part, Eddak continues to add to his own legend with an ever-increasing kill-tally. Why he has come to Nexus Psi is a mystery to everyone including the Rebellion itself, but the fact that he is there has lent added impetus to their mission. If Eddak thinks it is vital enough that his presence is necessary, then the Reb commanders reason that there must be even more to Nexus Psi than they first suspected.
