Nem-Rath is an Asterian Shuutavar known for his actions on Exham IV and Nexus Psi
Biography
In his long life, Nem-Rath has observed and directed over a thousand battles. To him, the ebb and flow of warfare is like a symphony to a conductor: Multi-layered, complex, and alive with its own horrific harmonies and deadly melodies. As a Shuutavar, Nem-Rath rides the crescendo of combat to inevitable victory, bringing the cosmos ever closer to true balance in his every action.
Even among the Shuutavar, Nem-Rath is regarded as being something of a stickler for the traditional. In a position that focuses on maintaining the Asterian way, Nem-Rath is a leading light. He is unflinching in his criticism of those who fail which makes his infrequent praise all the more valuable. His many years of experience and the finest battle gear available make him a formidable warrior in his own right, in spite of his age - not that he will be pleased if he has to take part. Ideally his presence should not be felt by either side, save by the Asterian commander who will be hard pressed to avoid the sense that his every move and thought is being scrutinised which, of course, it is.
The Asterian presence on Nexus Psi is highly focused. The Asterians greatly fear the Plague, and despair of the way in which the GCPS continues to stumble across the artefacts which cause it. Nexus Psi however carries even greater significance for them, their presence there having been specifically requested by those they dare not refuse. Nem Rath has been sent to accompany the forces there to ensure that the very highest standards are maintained on this incredibly sensitive and important mission, and to ensure that all of the Asterians committed to the theatre are aware of the high stakes involved. After all, such is the respect and awe he commands, that any Asterian would rather die trying to fulfil their mission under his auspices than risk failure.
