Biography
Inspired by his Favourite Avenger, Schnörkel, Flurple obsessed over all things DreadBall. Statistics, records, and trivia of the galaxy’s greatest sport were Flurple’s forte. But the Elastopod’s passion could never translate directly to the pitch.
Uncoordinated and slow, Flurple had to commit himself to the sidelines. Once there, he carved an indispensable niche for himself - fuel the Players. Equipped with a portable dispensary of every elixir, Flurple can administer a fluid that optimizes mobility to practically any species. Water, oil, blood, radioactive wavelengths. You name it, Flurple can fuel it. Flurple’s efforts have not been without controversy, however.
During the Dromindar Memorial Cup, Flurple was hired to hydrate the Squeakberg Stealers, a Veer-myn team that had, somehow, made it to the final. He decided to experiment with a particularly potent combination of fruits and plants from the Azure Forest. The results were explosive. Literally. The entire team exploded halfway through the third rush, as the bizarre concoction of flora reacted dangerously with the Veer-myn’s already hyperactive metabolism.
Recently Flurple’s efforts have been officially recognised by the galaxy’s most popular (and mostly non-lethal) energy drink, DreadMax Maxxx and he has been sponsored by the well-known brand. Like his Favourite MVP traveling the circuits as a hero-for-hire, this Hydration Specialist finds his services needed everywhere across the galaxy!
Unfortunately the controversy around Flurple never really ended, as mishappenings in the Magnetar Circuit showed, when coaches and players alike kept insisting on special "spiced up" versions of DreadMax Maxxx. When more and more incidents started to happen involving star players, someone responsible had to found. Although he was pushed by the teams and corporations to make the dangerous concoctions, Flurple was made out to be the sole responsible for the loss of life and more importantly assets.
Enraged by the wrongdoings he suffered from DB executives and players alike, he is now in search of fortune and revenge on battlefields across the galaxy. His hydrator filled up with deadly toxins able to corrode everything within seconds, he wants to show everyone what lies behind the shiny surface of the Inner Spheres.
