Argolis is a Planet in GCPS space

The planet of Argolis is located on the edge of corporate space, one of the few habitable worlds in a narrow finger of the GCPS stretching out to the galactic-east from the Fifth Sphere. Its surface is almost entirely covered by water. This alone is a rarity in that galactic locality and explains why the Lir Corporation was willing to spend a record-sum for the leases on its exploitable assets. The great rolling seas or Argolis are filled with a variety of aquatic life and the planet is, potentially, a source of massive wealth and scientific innovation.
Its distance from any other corporate outpost has so far prevented it from becoming a major hub of commerce, but several thousand pioneer settlers, most of them working for LirCorps, do already call it home. The majority live on the surface of the oceans. While giant exploration rigs drill down into the planet's core, floating factory farms have been busy corralling fish stocks and turning native plankton into exportable foodstuffs. Recently though, an increasing number have opted instead to start new lives in the subaquatic colonies.
On Argolis, one of the notable remote deep sea colony is 'New Lantis', which has fallen dark recently due to unknown reasons. Rumours spread on the Holo-Net suggest some form of Nameless attack was responsible. Not satisfied that their plans of water forming Argolis to their specifications was thwarted by some hired guns, including members of the Eiras Contract Mercenaries, So-Hin and Ota Sora, the remains of the Nameless strike force, now known as the Scourge of Argolis, are seeking to infiltrate more worlds, establish more "friendly" environments and possibly pave the path for a greater invasion.
